The love of Baking
I am Nikki Sweets ! Born in the beautiful city of Lima, Peru. Growing up by the waters of SouthWest Florida. I grew up watching my mom cook our delicious Peruvian plates and she would end the night with a delicious dessert. This is where my inspiration started from.
I started baking alfajores at 15 years old. Eating these delicious cookies my whole upbringing, inspired the love to create and perfect them in my own unique way. Baking isn't just a business, it's my passion and a way of bringing people together. Love and care is poured into every single cookie, ensuring to bring some joy to your day !
What are alfajores ?
For those who may not know, the traditional Alfajore is a delicious soft Peruvian shortbread cookie, filled with Manjar Blanco (also known as Dulce de Leche) creating a sandwich like treat, topped off with powdered sugar.
Alfajores are one of Peru’s most known desserts. I learned to perfect the traditional and expanded my taste buds to bake a variety of alfajores with different fillings + toppings !
Alfajores are the perfect treat for any time of the day, whether with a cup of coffee in the morning, or for a midnight snack 🫶🏼
